Templates, not advice
Our purchase order templates, default terms and conditions, examples and articles are general business documents provided "as is". They are not legal, tax or procurement advice. A purchase order that a vendor accepts can become a binding contract. You are responsible for the content of your purchase orders, the terms you use, and any tax or legal requirements that apply to your business.
Licence to use templates
You may download, edit and use the templates to order from your own vendors, for personal or commercial purposes, as often as you like. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the templates themselves (for example on another template site) without written permission. The "Purchase order templates by industry" guide is licensed separately under CC BY 4.0, as stated on that page.
Free tool
The PO maker is free. Files are generated in your browser; we don't store them. We may change or discontinue free features at any time. Free purchase orders include a small "Made with PO Template Maker" line.
PO Pro subscriptions
- PO Pro costs $7.99/mo or $59/yr (prices in USD; taxes may apply).
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you won't be charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You can change or cancel your subscription with "Manage subscription" on the PO Pro page.
- After checkout you receive a licence key. Keep it private: anyone with the key can use your Pro data. We may revoke keys that are shared publicly.
- PO Pro currently includes your logo on purchase orders, a saved company profile, automatic PO numbering, saved vendors, ship-to addresses and items, an approval block, a PO register with approval status, a receiving log with receiving report PDFs, vendor invoice matching, CSV export, and purchase orders without the "Made with" line.
- Limits: up to 100 saved vendors, 100 ship-to addresses and 100 items, the latest 200 purchase orders with up to 50 delivery records each, and 5 MB of saved data in total per licence.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to create fraudulent or misleading purchase orders, to impersonate another business, or to break any law.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for errors in purchase orders, receiving records or totals you create. Always review a purchase order before sending it. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
